Google Meet
A Google Meet link generated when creating events, project meetings or bookings, shared by all participants.
- Category: Meetings and productivity
- Status: Available
- Requirements: Google Calendar connected with at least one active calendar
- MCP tools (Read only):
ver_reunion - MCP tools (Write or modify):
crear_reunion - MCP tools (Destructive):
cancelar_reunion
What can you do with it?
- Request a Meet when creating a personal event.
- Request a shared Meet when creating a project meeting.
- Have each booking from a booking link arrive with its Meet.
When should you use it?
- For remote meetings without creating the link by hand in Google.
- So every participant of a meeting joins the same link.
How does it work in ArduMaker?
- ArduMaker does not create the Meet by itself: it asks Google to do so when creating the event in the person's calendar. That is why Google Calendar must be connected.
- In a project meeting, the Meet is generated in the calendar of the first participant who has Google connected. The same link is copied to the others' events and descriptions.
- If nobody has Google connected, the meeting is still created, without a link and without an error.
- The Meet is decided at creation: it cannot be added or removed later by editing the event.
What actually changes?
- The link (
meet_url) is stored on the event or meeting to show it as a join button. - An event imported from Google that already had a video call also shows its link.
Diagram
- Meeting with crear_meet: several participants
- First participant with Google: Google generates the Meet
- Other participants: same link copied
Expected result
All participants see the same meet_url; in Google it appears as the event's video call.
Errors and troubleshooting
- Meeting without
meet_url: no participant had a linked and active Google calendar, or Google could not generate it. - If the Google connection expired, reconnect the account before creating the meeting: the Meet cannot be added afterwards.
MCP access
crear_reunion accepts crear_meet: it generates a shared Meet for all participants with the same rule as the web. It is a write operation; cancelling with cancelar_reunion deletes the meeting for everyone.
