Your first website, online.
In less than 5 minutes you'll have your first web page published on a real server.
01
Clone the starter project
Download the starter project to your computer with a single command.
Clone the repository
Enter the project folder
Clone downloads the code to your machine. A repository is a code folder connected to the internet. Now you have the project ready to edit.
02
Open the project
You can use any code editor you have.
VSCode · Cursor · WebStorm · or any other
If you use VSCode, this command opens the editor directly in the folder:
If you don't have VSCode, just open the folder from your favorite editor.
03
Edit the site
The project has 3 main files. Edit whatever you want:
The structure and text of your web
Colors, fonts and styles
Interactivity and animations
Start by changing the title in index.html. Save and refresh the browser to see the result.
04
Create your own repository
Now you need to upload the project to YOUR GitHub.
https://github.com/new
What to fill in the form?
Just enter a name for your repository, like "my-first-site". The name cannot have spaces. You don't need to change any other option. Set it to public if you want it visible, or private if it's just for you. That's all you need.
For example:
my-first-site
05
Connect the project to your GitHub
The project is connected to ArduMaker's original repository. You need to disconnect it and point it to yours.
Disconnect from ArduMaker's repository:
Connect to yours (replace the URL with the one GitHub gave you):
Example:
Find the repository URL on GitHub, in the green "Code" button, SSH or HTTPS section.
06
Push your changes to GitHub
Save everything and push it. This moves your changes from your computer to GitHub.
Stage all files
Create a save point
Push everything to GitHub
Done. Your code is now in the cloud. Now let's connect the server.
07
Create your ArduMaker account
ArduMaker is where your site will live. With your account you get:
- A real server (VPS) with root
- Automatic deploy on every push
- A .arducloud.com address with HTTPS
- AI agents that work through MCP
https://ardumaker.com/login
08
Create your server
Open the dashboard. In Apps, if you have no server yet, you see the plans.
Pick a plan with «Choose this plan» and confirm. The server sets itself up.
It takes a few minutes. Meanwhile you can go on to the next step.
What happens behind the scenes:
The server is prepared
What it needs is installed
The services are started
Ready to use
09
Open the deploy assistant
In Apps, tap «Deploy from Git». It is also on your server, under Deploy, with «New deploy».
The first time it asks you to link your GitHub account. It takes one click.
In the first step, «Source»:
Pick your repository and the «main» branch
Leave the app folder empty if index.html is at the root
Pick the server you created and tap «Next»
10
Follow the assistant
It has six steps and nothing runs until you confirm. For plain HTML there is almost nothing to change:
Analysis
It reads the repository without running anything and recognises a static site.
Execution
It stays as «Static site». The build command is empty: plain HTML is not built.
Variables and publishing
No variables needed. Under «Publishing» pick «An automatic address», with HTTPS.
Review
It shows what will happen. If it says «Everything is ready to deploy», tap «Deploy».
Progress
You watch the deploy live. When it ends, «Open the site» takes you to your page.
No nginx or certificates to set up by hand: it is done for you.

11
Test automatic deploy
Make a change to your project, push it to GitHub and watch the server update itself.
Edit any file (for example, change a title)
Save and push
See the new deploy in Apps, on your app
Every time you push, ArduMaker detects the change and republishes your site automatically.
