Frequently asked questions

Why a VPS and not shared hosting?

Because the server is yours: install what you want, open the ports you need, and nobody else shares your RAM. If shared hosting already got tight, or you need Docker, your own database or a process running all day, this is the moment.

Do I get real root? Can I install anything?

Yes, real root over SSH. Install whatever you want, including what is not in the panel. The panel is a shortcut for the tedious part, not a cage: everything it does with a button can be done by hand.

How do I know which plan I need?

Look at the applications table: it says what runs comfortably and what runs tight on each plan. If in doubt, start with the smallest that works — changing plan later does not make you migrate anything.

Are there hidden CPU, RAM or disk limits?

No. The plan numbers are what you get: no inode quota, no process limit, no traffic cap. If you fill the disk or the RAM, it is because you used them.

How is it billed, and what if I cancel mid-month?

Billed monthly, no lock-in. If you delete it we credit back the part of the month you did not use, and the balance stays in your account for the next one.

Can I get a surprise bill?

No. You pay the plan price and nothing else: no usage, traffic or request charges. If you want more resources you change plan, and you see it before confirming.

How long until it is ready?

Minutes. You pick plan and location, and the server builds itself with SSH, SSL and the panel already working.

Which operating system does it come with?

Linux with root, ready to use. No image to pick and nothing to install to get going: Nginx, the runtimes and the base tooling are already there.

Is my data backed up?

Yes, one automatic weekly copy of every VPS, and you can take a manual one whenever you want. Copies are stored outside the host your server runs on.

Is there real support?

Yes, and it is answered by someone who can get into the server. If something breaks on our side you will see it on the status page before you have to ask.

Is there an API? Can I automate?

Yes, and you can also connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor or Copilot to your account so they do what you would do by hand: deploy a repo, open a port, create a database. They act with your permissions and every action is logged.

If your school has an agreement, the price shows up on its own when you log in. If it does not yet, write to developer@ardumaker.com and we will set it up.
