Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before buying.

Why a VPS and not shared hosting?

Because the server is yours: install what you want, open the ports you need, and nobody else shares your RAM. If shared hosting already got tight, or you need Docker, your own database or a process running all day, this is the moment.

Do I get real root? Can I install anything?

Yes, real root over SSH. Install whatever you want, including what is not in the panel. The panel is a shortcut for the tedious part, not a cage: everything it does with a button can be done by hand.

How do I know which plan I need?

Look at the applications table: it says what runs comfortably and what runs tight on each plan. If in doubt, start with the smallest that works — changing plan later does not make you migrate anything.

Are there hidden CPU, RAM or disk limits?

No. The plan numbers are what you get: no inode quota, no process limit, no traffic cap. If you fill the disk or the RAM, it is because you used them.

How is it billed, and what if I cancel mid-month?

Billed monthly, no lock-in. If you delete it we credit back the part of the month you did not use, and the balance stays in your account for the next one.

Can I get a surprise bill?

No. You pay the plan price and nothing else: no usage, traffic or request charges. If you want more resources you change plan, and you see it before confirming.

How long until it is ready?

Minutes. You pick plan and location, and the server builds itself with SSH, SSL and the panel already working.

Which operating system does it come with?

Linux with root, ready to use. No image to pick and nothing to install to get going: Nginx, the runtimes and the base tooling are already there.

Is my data backed up?

Yes, one automatic weekly copy of every VPS, and you can take a manual one whenever you want. Copies are stored outside the host your server runs on.

Is there real support?

Yes, and it is answered by someone who can get into the server. If something breaks on our side you will see it on the status page before you have to ask.

Is there an API? Can I automate?

Yes, and you can also connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor or Copilot to your account so they do what you would do by hand: deploy a repo, open a port, create a database. They act with your permissions and every action is logged.

I am from a school, do I get a discount?

If your school has an agreement, the price shows up on its own when you log in. If it does not yet, write to developer@ardumaker.com and we will set it up.

Can I run an AI agent 24/7 on the VPS?

Yes. It is a Linux server with root, not a serverless platform: a bot, a worker or an agent built with Python, Node or Docker runs all day, with no execution time limit and no sleeping. Set it up as a systemd service from the panel and it starts on its own if the VPS reboots.

How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT to my account?

With the ArduMaker MCP server. In your client, add https://mcp.ardumaker.com/mcp as a remote connector; an ArduMaker screen opens where you approve access and choose which projects and VPS it can reach. There are no keys to copy: it is OAuth. The MCP page has the step by step for each client.

What can a connected agent not do?

It acts with your permissions and every action is logged. Some things it can never do, even if you ask: delete a whole VPS, delete a project, add or remove members, change roles or touch attachments marked as secret. From your account you see the connected agents and revoke any of them.

What is ArduMaker and what is it for?

It is a platform for developers, freelancers and teams: you rent VPS servers and, in the same panel, publish apps, manage domains, databases and email, organize projects and connect AI agents over MCP.

Is ArduMaker just a VPS provider?

No. VPS are at the core, but it also has a project manager, a scheduling link, meeting recording, email on your domain, WhatsApp Business API, AI Router, Search API and a code checker.

Which tools can I use inside ArduMaker?

On your VPS: GitHub deploys, Docker, n8n, WordPress, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, web terminal and backups. Outside the server: projects, email, WhatsApp, AI Router, Search API and the MCP. The full list, feature by feature, is in the documentation.

Can I deploy applications and databases?

Yes. Deploy from a GitHub repository and add PostgreSQL, MySQL or Redis on the same VPS, from the panel or by asking your AI agent.

Can I manage several projects and teams?

Yes. Each company has its servers, domains and members with permissions, and one account can have several companies. The project manager is free.

Do I need a VPS to use every service?

No. With an account you already use the project manager, the scheduling link, meeting recording, the checker and the free email plan at no cost. Whatever runs on a server (apps, databases, deploys, n8n) needs a VPS, and AI Router, Search API and WhatsApp are pay-per-use.
