What can you do with it?

  • Log in with the mailbox address and password, without an ArduMaker account.
  • List messages by folder, read one in full and download its attachments.
  • Send email with or without attachments, to one or several recipients.
  • Create and manage folders, Sieve filters and aliases.
  • See used quota and message count.

When should you use it?

To use email without installing a client. If you prefer Outlook, Thunderbird or your phone, the same mailbox works over IMAP and SMTP.

How does it work in ArduMaker?

  1. Login validates the mailbox and returns a token valid for 24 hours, as a cookie or in the Email-Token header.
  2. The inbox is read from the server over IMAP. Listing does not mark messages as read; reading is marked separately.
  3. Sending answers right away with 202: the email is recorded and goes out in the background.
  4. Each mailbox sends up to 5 emails per minute. Anything above that without attachments is queued and goes out by itself; with attachments it is rejected with 429.
LimitValue
Sends per mailbox5 per minute
Attachments per email25 MB in total
Messages per listing20 by default, up to 100
Token lifetime24 hours

Allowed attachments are images, PDF, Office documents, text, CSV, ZIP and RAR.

What actually changes?

  • Sending leaves the email in the mailbox's sent folder.
  • Folders, filters and aliases are created on the mail server and also apply over IMAP.
  • Logging out clears the token cookie.

Sending from webmail

Expected result

The person reads and answers email in the browser. Status sending means the email is being processed; queued means it is waiting because of the limit.

Errors and troubleshooting

  • 401 on any request: the token expired or is missing. Log in again.
  • 429 `limite_de_envio_alcanzado`: the per-minute limit was exceeded with attachments. Wait a minute and retry.
  • File type rejected: the attachment is not among the allowed types.
  • Filter has no effect: Sieve code is not validated before sending it to the server; an invalid script fails there.

MCP access

An agent operates the mailbox through MCP without a webmail session: it uses the password ArduMaker stores encrypted when the mailbox is created. Access to the domain's company is required. See /mcp/correo.
