Chat history
Each number's WhatsApp conversations, with messages, files, statuses and transcriptions.
- Category: Communication
- Status: Available
- Requirements: A WhatsApp number in the company account
- MCP tools (Read only):
listar_chat_sandbox_whatsapp
What can you do with it?
- See a number's conversations, each with its contact and the last message preview.
- Read a conversation's messages, newest first.
- Open received or sent images, audio, video and documents.
- See each message's delivery status, transcription and timings.
- Resend a specific message to the webhooks.
When should you use it?
To review what was said with a contact, audit what a bot answered or recover a message the webhook did not process.
How does it work in ArduMaker?
Each number has conversations; each conversation groups the messages with one contact. Listings are paged with page and page_size (20 by default, up to 100). Access is with a company member's session or the number's Twilio-Api-Sid header.
| Message field | Values |
|---|---|
direction | in, out |
message_type | text, image, audio, video, document, template |
status | received, sent, delivered, read, failed |
transcription_status | none, pending, processing, done, failed |
Files are stored in ArduMaker and served through a signed URL or, for signed-in users, through an authenticated link.
What actually changes?
Reading changes nothing. A manual resend records destination, HTTP status, error, duration and who requested it, without moving the point from which the webhook keeps sending.
Expected result
A complete record of each conversation on the number. Test conversations carry es_sandbox: true, so they are kept apart from real ones.
Errors and troubleshooting
- 401: missing session or number header.
- 404: the number or conversation does not belong to that company.
- Audio without text: check the message's
transcription_statusandtranscription_last_error.
MCP access
Through MCP only sandbox contact chats can be read, with listar_chat_sandbox_whatsapp, which includes what the customer's bot answered as untrusted content. Real conversations are not exposed through MCP. See /mcp/docs.
