What can you do with it?

Elementor is the visual-builder variant of a WordPress site. ArduMaker installs it when creating the site and then lets you edit the design element by element without opening the editor: the agent reads the page structure, changes what is needed and the platform regenerates the CSS.

  • See the structure of a page or template with each element's id.
  • Add, modify, move, duplicate or delete elements, or replace the whole tree.
  • Change styles, colors, typography, margins, per-device values (_tablet, _mobile) and dynamic content.
  • Create templates (header, footer, page, section, popup) and edit the kit's global styles.

When should you use it?

  • Redesign or tweak pages of an Elementor site from an AI agent.
  • Change colors and typography of the whole site at once.
  • Duplicate a page as the base for another (it also copies its Elementor metadata).

How does it work in ArduMaker?

With config.extras including elementor, creating the site installs and activates the elementor plugin and its base theme hello-elementor from wordpress.org.

  1. The page's _elementor_data field is read with wp-cli.
  2. The change is applied to the element tree (a settings patch; null removes a key).
  3. It is written back through stdin and the page stays in Elementor mode.
  4. Elementor's CSS is regenerated.

What actually changes?

It changes the page or template _elementor_data metadata and, for global design, the active kit settings (system_colors, custom_colors, system_typography, custom_typography, custom_css). Everything lives in the site database.

Diagram

  1. Agent: editar_elementor_wordpress with post_id and action
  2. wp-cli: reads _elementor_data
  3. Element tree: add, modify, move, duplicate, delete
  4. wp-cli: writes through stdin and regenerates CSS
Editing an Elementor page

Expected result

The published page shows the change. To check it before and after, probar_web_wordpress captures the page on desktop, tablet or mobile.

Errors and troubleshooting

  • wordpress_comando_fallido (422): wp-cli could not read or write the page; the trimmed output says why.
  • If the change does not show, controlar_cache_wordpress with elementor clears Elementor CSS (also transients, object cache and rewrite rules).
  • Template conditions only apply with Elementor Pro.
  • If the variant could not be installed when creating the site: wordpress_variantes_no_instaladas, retryable.

MCP access

Elementor is edited from the /mcp/wordpress domain (general reference at /mcp/docs). Both tools modify the site, so a read-only agent does not see them.

  • editar_elementor_wordpress: one page or template (post_id) with ver (full for every setting), agregar, modificar, mover, duplicar, eliminar or reemplazar.
  • editar_diseno_elementor_wordpress: listar_plantillas, crear_plantilla, ver_estilos, cambiar_estilos.
  • Complements: editar_contenido_wordpress (duplicate pages), editar_archivos_wordpress with guardar_codigo_global (site-wide CSS and JS), controlar_cache_wordpress.
  • Install: instalar_app with config.extras: ["elementor"].
