ArduMaker vs Railway

Railway deploys containers and bills per second of usage. ArduMaker gives you a fixed-price server where your apps, databases and n8n run together, with root.

When Railway is the better fit

  • Small or intermittent workloads: you pay only for what you use.
  • Several services connected over a private network, with ready-made templates.
  • Its MCP is mature and includes its own agent.

When ArduMaker is the better fit

  • Workloads that run all day: the price does not go up with usage.
  • Root and SSH access to the server, to install whatever you need.
  • Several apps, databases and n8n share one plan with no extra charge.
  • The MCP also covers domains and DNS, email, tunnels and WordPress.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper, Railway or ArduMaker?

Railway bills by usage: something small or that barely runs can cost less than a fixed plan. If the service runs all day and uses memory constantly (an agent, a database, n8n), a fixed-price plan is more predictable. It is worth estimating with Railway's calculator and comparing it with the plans table.

How do I move an app from Railway to ArduMaker?

If the app is on GitHub, you link the repo to the VPS and set up the variables and the start command. The database is moved with a dump (pg_dump or mysqldump) and restored on the VPS.
