CyberPanel is a free, open source panel built on OpenLiteSpeed that you install on your VPS, with fast WordPress and Docker. ArduMaker includes the server and a maintained panel.

Quick summary

ArduMaker

  • Who it is for: People who want apps, WordPress and automations on a server without installing or updating the panel, with AI agents operating under permissions.
  • Biggest strength: Nothing to install: server, panel, GitHub deploys, native PostgreSQL and MCP with human approval from day one.

CyberPanel

  • Who it is for: People who already have a VPS, want a panel with no license fee and mostly host WordPress and PHP sites.
  • Biggest strength: Free and fast for WordPress thanks to OpenLiteSpeed and LSCache, with email, Docker and n8n in the same panel.

The main difference: CyberPanel has no license fee, but you provide and maintain the server. ArduMaker charges for the VPS with the panel included and takes care of maintaining the platform.

Key differences

Free, but the server and the work are yours

CyberPanel has no license fee with OpenLiteSpeed, and that is a real advantage. In return, you rent the VPS separately, run the install, apply updates and fix failures. With ArduMaker you pay for the VPS plan and the panel comes installed and maintained.

Web server and WordPress performance

CyberPanel uses OpenLiteSpeed with LSCache, a combination many people like for WordPress. ArduMaker runs each WordPress site natively with PHP-FPM and MySQL behind nginx, isolated with its own user and pool. Both serve WordPress well; the difference is the stack and who runs it.

Apps and databases for developers

Both offer Docker and one-click n8n. ArduMaker adds native PostgreSQL and Redis with a manager in the panel, GitHub deploys on every push and systemd services for workers. In CyberPanel the native database is MariaDB, and Git Manager is meant to bring code into a site, not to deploy apps with processes.

AI agents

CyberPanel does not publish an official MCP server; community projects use its API with admin credentials. ArduMaker includes an MCP server with OAuth and human approval, following each person's permissions.

Pricing and costs

With CyberPanel the main cost is the server, rented from another provider, plus paid add-ons if you need them or a LiteSpeed Enterprise license. The hidden cost is time: installation, updates, security and off-server backups. With ArduMaker the VPS includes the panel and its upkeep; email is billed per mailbox.

Real-world scenarios

High-traffic WordPress blog

On ArduMaker: You create a native site with its own PHP-FPM pool, turn on caching from the panel or over MCP and publish it on your domain with SSL.

On CyberPanel: You install WordPress with LSCache on OpenLiteSpeed, a very good combination for serving cached pages. Panel and OS updates are on you.

n8n with PostgreSQL

On ArduMaker: You install n8n from the catalog with workers, PostgreSQL and Redis wired up and publish it on your domain.

On CyberPanel: The n8n manager deploys the stack with PostgreSQL in Docker and sets up the OpenLiteSpeed proxy. Queue-mode workers are yours to configure.

Python API with a background worker

On ArduMaker: You connect the GitHub repo, every push deploys, and the worker runs as a systemd service or container, with native PostgreSQL.

On CyberPanel: You handle it with Docker or by setting up the process by hand over SSH; Git Manager brings the code over but doesn't start or supervise the app.

Reselling sites to small clients

On ArduMaker: There are no hosting packages to resell; you organize clients as companies or projects with roles.

On CyberPanel: You create reseller users with ACLs and a site limit, with no per-account license fee.

When CyberPanel is the better fit

  • You already pay for a VPS and don't want to add a panel license.
  • You mostly host WordPress and want OpenLiteSpeed with LSCache.
  • You need email included for many domains without a per-mailbox fee.
  • You want to resell sites with users and ACLs at no per-account cost.
  • You're comfortable updating the panel and the OS yourself.

When ArduMaker is the better fit

  • You don't want to install, update or repair the panel.
  • You need native PostgreSQL and Redis, not just inside containers.
  • You deploy apps from GitHub with 24/7 processes and workers.
  • You want an AI agent to operate over MCP with OAuth and human approval.
  • You'd rather have one provider for server, panel, DNS and email.

How to migrate from CyberPanel to ArduMaker

Since CyberPanel runs on your own VPS, moving to ArduMaker means migrating site by site and shutting the old server down at the end. WordPress and n8n are the most common cases.

  1. Inventory: List sites, MariaDB databases, Docker Manager containers, mailboxes, cron jobs and Git Manager repos.
  2. Lower the TTL: A few days ahead, lower the TTL on the DNS records you will change. If you used CyberPanel's DNS, export the records.
  3. Create the VPS: Pick a plan with resources similar to your current VPS, then adjust to actual usage.
  4. WordPress: Export each site with All-in-One, Duplicator or UpdraftPlus and create it in ArduMaker from that backup. Disable LSCache before exporting and turn on ArduMaker's caching afterwards.
  5. n8n and containers: Export your n8n workflows and credentials, install n8n in ArduMaker and import them again. Other containers move to Docker with Compose on the VPS.
  6. Databases and email: Export databases with mysqldump and import them into MySQL or MariaDB. Create the mailboxes and copy them over IMAP with imapsync.
  7. DNS and SSL: Point the records at your ArduMaker VPS or delegate the zone. The certificate is issued when you publish each domain.
  8. Verify and shut down: Test sites, workflows and email. Keep the CyberPanel VPS for a few days as a fallback before cancelling it.

Frequently asked questions

Is CyberPanel really free?

Yes: with OpenLiteSpeed the panel is free and open source. You pay for the server you install it on and, if you want, add-ons or a LiteSpeed Enterprise license, which starts at $11/month with CyberPanel.

Why pay for ArduMaker if CyberPanel costs nothing?

Because the ArduMaker plan includes the server and the panel's upkeep, plus native PostgreSQL, GitHub deploys and MCP with OAuth. If you'd rather run the server yourself and save the difference, CyberPanel is a reasonable choice.

Can I install CyberPanel on an ArduMaker VPS?

It isn't recommended: CyberPanel expects a clean system and replaces the web server, while an ArduMaker VPS already ships with nginx and its own panel. Use a dedicated VPS for CyberPanel, or use ArduMaker's panel.

Does CyberPanel have MCP for AI agents?

There is no official MCP server as of this review. Community projects use the CyberPanel API; check how well they're maintained and limit the credentials before using them in production.

How do I migrate n8n from CyberPanel to ArduMaker?

Export workflows and credentials from n8n, install n8n in ArduMaker from the catalog and import them again. Then update your subdomain's DNS and review your webhook URLs.
