# Financial management

Project budget, agreements, collections, payments and expenses, with each person seeing only what their role opens.

## What can you do with it?

- Set the project's agreed total and, optionally, its breakdown by item.
- Record the **agreement** with each team member, optionally tied to a stage or task (payment per deliverable).
- Record movements: `cobro` from the client, `pago` to a team member or project `gasto`.
- Upload receipts and invoices per movement.

## When should you use it?

- So the client sees the total and their own payments, without seeing what each collaborator earns.
- So each collaborator sees only their deal and what they were paid.

## How does it work in ArduMaker?

| Section | What it opens |
| --- | --- |
| `finanzas` | One's own: my deal, my movements, uploading my receipt, downloading my invoice |
| `finanzas_balance` | The total: cost, breakdown and everyone's data |

- Filtering happens on the server: whoever lacks the balance gets an empty total, breakdown and balance, and only their own agreements and movements.
- The balance is grouped by currency and not converted; the currency is stored per row, as a three-letter code.
- Amounts are stored as exact decimals.
- Receipts and invoices are downloaded through an authenticated route that rechecks who owns the movement.

## What actually changes?

- Disabling the section deletes nothing: agreements and movements reappear when it is enabled again.
- An agreement with payments is not deleted: it is cancelled.
- An agreement is not deleted when the person leaves the project.

## Expected result

Whoever has the balance sees, per currency, what was collected, paid and the remainder. The rest see their summary: agreed, collected and pending.

## Errors and troubleshooting

| Message | Cause |
| --- | --- |
| `This project does not use the finances section` | The section is disabled (responds 404). |
| `Only the project manager can enable the finances section` | Only the manager enables or disables it. |
| `This agreement already has payments against it: cancel it instead of deleting` | An agreement with payments was being deleted. |
| `MCP agents can never access a project's finances, not even to read them` | The call came from an MCP agent. |

> **PRECAUCION:** When enabling the section, review in Roles which level each role has in both finance sections: a role with `ver` for future sections sees the balance.

## MCP access

There is no MCP access, not even read-only. Even if the agent's owner is the manager, every agent call to the finances is rejected with type `agente_prohibido`.
