# Schools

Program for educational institutions: agreed plans for students, invitation links, wallet and commission.

## What can you do with it?

- Offer students VPS plans with agreed discount, slots and duration.
- Add students with permanent or cohort invitation links, email invitations or from the panel.
- Assign and end benefits for each student.
- Have a wallet to deposit, see movements and request withdrawals.
- Earn a commission on what students pay, if the agreement includes it.

## When should you use it?

For schools, bootcamps or universities that want to give students real infrastructure on their own terms.

## How does it work in ArduMaker?

1. **Request.** The institution writes in from [/school](https://ardumaker.com/en/school), without an account. There is a per-IP submission cap.
2. **Setup.** ArduMaker creates the school with its wallet and first admins. A school cannot sign itself up.
3. **Agreements.** Which plans, what discount, who pays, how long and with what quota are negotiated by ArduMaker. The school sees and assigns them but cannot change them.
4. **Students.** They join through a link (verified), through a personal invitation on sign-up, from the panel (pending until they accept) or through 42 login.
5. **Benefits.** They are granted when assigned, when a link is redeemed or when a VPS is created under an automatic agreement. Expiry counts from when it is granted.

> **INFO:** Being a student shows the school which VPS the person has and how much they use. That is why adding from the panel requires the student to accept.

## What actually changes?

- Ending a benefit does not stop the VPS: it stays up at list price and the student's company pays.
- An agreement is not deleted but deactivated: it stops new sign-ups and current benefits run until their end.
- Removing a student is final with respect to links: a circulating link does not add them back.
- Commission is credited to the wallet each month from the 2nd, on card payments by the students' companies. It does not generate an ArduMaker invoice.

## Expected result

The school sees its students, their benefits and activity, and manages its money from the wallet with the same movements and invoices as any company.

## Errors and troubleshooting

- **The link does not add the student**: the school removed them before, or the quota is full (pending invitations also take a slot).
- **Pending student**: added from the panel and has not accepted yet; plans are not enabled.
- **Withdrawal not deducted**: it is deducted from the balance only when ArduMaker marks it paid.
